Itinerary 


Day 01 : - Guruvayur 

Reception at Thrissur/ Guruvayur, move to Guruvayur, fresh up in a hotel - (direct payment), Darshan @ Guruvayur Temple. Sree Krishna temple





         


Dharsen @ Mammiyur Mahadeva Temple 

It is believed that any pilgrimage to Guruvayurappan will be complete only after a visit to Mammiyur Mahadeva Temple.




64 - Elephants Fort ( optional) 

Offerings of  Guruvayur Temple, 64 Elephants are groomed at the Punnathoor Kotta ( Kotta means fort). Many Elephants as brought as  ritual offering to the temple. You can spend a whole day with these huge mammals here.  
Rest of the day is free to explore temple city,  O/n at Guruvayur


 
Vilangankunnu  


Vilangankunnu is a beautiful Hillock, a popular picnic spot, and recreation, center. Vilangenkunnu gives a panoramic view of the city from the top. a specially designed park with amusement rides to entertain children. 



 




Sakthan Palace 

Really narrates the history of Trichur (Thrissur), it is one of the cultural, architectural and historical important palaces of the erstwhile Maharaja of Cochin, now converted into a Heritage Museum. 10 am to 5 pm except for Tuesday.





Archaeological Museum 

It has big life-size statues of famous and eminent personalities, models of ancient temples, monuments, manuscripts written on dry palm leaves, megalith collection consisting of earthen pots, Urn burials (Nannangadi) black and red wares, black wares russet-coated wares, stone age tools, excavated materials from Indus Valley Civilization and Harappa, excavated materials from megalithic sites like beads, iron implements



Zoo 

One of the main attraction of Thrissur tourism is Zoo & Museum, perhaps this is the most famous zoo in Kerala hosts a wide variety of wild animals. Thousands of tourists are visiting every day, it is a memorable eye site.






Vadakkumnathen Temple 

Pick up from Thrissur railway station/ bus stand, Move to Vaddakunnathan temple.  
It is believed that the first Shiva temple created by Lord Parasurama, popularly known as Vadakkunnathan. It is situated at the heart of Thrissur city. It is 
  
 
derived from 'Thiru-Shiva-Peroor', which literally translates to "The city of the sacred Shiva".
  
 
Vadakkunnathan temple is surrounded by a massive stone wall enclosing an area of nearly 8-9 acres. World famous Pooram festival is celebrated here.


 


Paramekkavu Temple 

Paramekkavu is near to Vadakkumnathan Temple at the heart of the city. It is part of Thrissur Hindu Pilgrimage. This is one of the main parts of celebrating world famous Thrissur Pooram.






Bible Tower is the bell tower of Puthenpalli or Basilica of Our Lady of Dolores Thrissur. It is the largest church tower in Asia and is decorated with wood and Brass carvings, oil paintings, stained glasses, canvas, and terracotta paintings, & Murals.
