Kodanad Elephant Training Centre
There are about 5-6 small to large sized elephants who are all chained but well taken care. They could get everything with trunks on. Childrens can fun with the dance of the baby elephant here . In the 1960's, Kodanad used to be the largest of several elephant training centres for captured Elephants from the forest and trained using Mahouts ( 'Paappaan). Later in the 1970s, the Govt of India banned elephant capture and is primarily used as a rescue training centre
