Present day ,Kerala Houseboats (Rice boats) or kettuvallam are country boats that were employed in the first days for the transport of products from the isolated interior villages of Kerala, especially Backwater area to the towns like Alleppey, Kottayam, Kollam and Cochin. with the advent of roads, bridges and ferry services, gradually the Kettuvalloms sidelined. Now these Kettuvalloms/ Rice boats are back again as a major tourist attraction product-  Houseboats . Basically Kerala houseboats can be categorized according to bedroom size.Single bedroom House boats are designed with single bedroom bath attached, same way, 2 bedroom, 3 bedroom, 4 bedroom, 5 bedroom and 6 bedroom House boats are available. When the number of bedrooms exceed 4 , normally bedroom size will be little less. The size vary from, about to 95 feet feet in length and a width of around 13 feet to in the middle for one bedroom houseboat.  The Building materials materials are all local and Eco friendly bamboo poles, coconut fiber ropes, bamboo mats, coir carpets etc. The main wood used is "Anjili".  

 House boat  bedrooms are designed for 2 persons, 1 extra bed is also possible in a Room . There are House boats with Upper ducks, which offers more comfort in Backwater sightseeing. They are expensive compared to normal ones. Moreover, we can classify on the basis of Quality, Standard, Deluxe, Premium & luxury. Standard ones are old ones of very small ones. Deluxe is the most demanded ones. Prices also vary,  depending on the category. Standard is the most cheapest one. Deluxe comes next, then Premium & luxury.

The package starts & ends at Alleppey and also the cruise are going to be in and around Alleppey (Alappuzha). Standard approved Route. The package includes welcome drink, lunch, evening tea with snacks, look and cruise

Day Cruise (11.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.). 

Kumarakam Round - Day trip / cruise

The package starts & ends at Alleppey and the cruise will be in and around Alleppey (Alappuzha). Standard approved Route. The package includes welcome drink, lunch, evening tea/ coffee with snacks, sightseeing and cruise.

Day Cruise (11.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Cruise starts from Alleppey [Alappuzha] – coveres best components of kumarakom and ends in Alleppey this can be a preferred House boat cruise, covering entire Alleppey  & Kumarakom.

The package includes a pair of nights accommodation, welcome drink, breakfast, lunch, dinner, looking at and cruise.
